Extrusion Blow Molding Overview

Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) is a manufacturing process for producing large quantities of bottles and containers. Plastic is melted and then extruded into a hollow tube (a parison). A cooled mold is then closed around the parison and air is then blown into it, inflating the parison into the final bottle or container shape.

CMG’s Extrusion Blow Molding machinery provides us the ability to manufacture a wide range of bottles and containers for applications such as beverages, household chemicals, foods, personal care products, and much more.

Extrusion Blow Molding Capabilities

CMG operates twin station shuttle EBM machines, and our capabilities include:

  • Molds sizes from two to sixteen cavities.
  • Container capacities from 8 oz up to 270 oz.
  • Multiple view stripes in colored bottles.
